Interpretation Greeting and Instructions – Click on the Zoom ‘globe’ icon ... then click "Spanish"

Welcome to all.

protocols for interpretation on the Zoom platform. We honor all in their first languages. Workshops and presentations are generally conducted evenly in either Spanish or English, with signers and speakers of other first languages encouraged and invited to share their language throughout the residency. Interpretation in either English or Spanish may switch often during a session depending on the language preference of the person communicating at any particular moment.

Interpretation is on a separate track running simultaneously and can be accessed by clicking on the ‘globe’ icon, usually along the center or right-hand lower portion of your Zoom screen. Clicking on the ‘globe’ prompts buttons to pop up offering interpretation in English or Spanish. To allow for easy transfer back and forth of languages as necessary, all interpretation will run from the Spanish button for those wanting interpretation either to Spanish or to English.
